Schecter Guitar Research has released the all-new Keith Merrow KM-6 and it looks mighty fine! It comes in a satin trans-white or a satin trans-black (both with the satin black back) so you know it’s perfect for my tastes no matter the model you go with. The fact that this model comes with Schecter exclusive Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter pickups just makes this more appealing. Damn, Schecter know how to make awesome guitars.
You can see Keith Merrow announce the new six string model in this awesome tutorial video for Conquering Rifftopia IV. There you go … a guitar announcement, with a free guitar lesson.
So, the specs? Well they’re impressive and they are:
- Swamp Ash body
- Set neck (3-piece maple with carbon fiber reinforcements)
- Ebony fretboard
- Graph Tech Tusq (black) nut
- Offset fretboard inlays
- Push/Pull Volume knob
- Three-way pickup selector switch
- Schecter locking tuners
- Black hardware
- Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter pickups
- Glow-in-the-dark side dot markers
- Hipshot hardtail bridge
I’d love an ebony neck. It fits this guitar’s style and look beautifully too. Actually, everything looks perfect on this guitar to me. So much quality in one guitar. I’d love to have a crack at one of these. Just awesome.
